Our Story

Established in 2020, Saluto London is a womenswear branding selling carefully curated vintage and ready-to-wear. Our pieces are made ethically from vintage or deadstock textiles, designed by founder Hannah Stacpoole in our Battersea studio and produced by a small team of female seamstresses in the UK.

Ethical production and transparency is at the heart of what we do at Saluto London. All of our seamstresses are based in the UK (which lowers our carbon footprint) and are all paid fair wages. We believe dressmaking is a skill that is hard work and time consuming and therefore fair pay should reflect that.

The majority of textiles that we use are either vintage or deadstock and would have otherwise gone to landfill. By opting for this, we use the things that are already in existence - they may have small faults or colour runs that we work around or are simply end of rolls which haven’t sold.

We believe this makes the design process a whole lot more exciting and challenging and as a result all our pieces are only made in limited quantities or are one-of-a-kind.
