We are looking for a creative, hard-working and innovative individual to join Saluto London to help with the production of our reworked collection. The role is based from our Battersea studio and will start at 8-12 hours a week.
Our business is growing - it’s an incredibly exciting time for the brand - and we are looking for someone that is incredibly driven, friendly and has a can-do approach. This will be quite a multi-faceted role but we are hoping to find someone to stick with us for the long run as we hope to open up a more permanent position for the right person soon!
We are looking for:
A talented sewer who has an excellent eye for detail and a passion for sustainability, colour and print!
Must have an exceptional understanding of garment construction and sewing machinery.
Some form of pattern cutting experience would be ideal!
Someone who is a great problem solver and thinks outside of the box. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and so this is a great role for someone with lots of ideas.
Will mainly be helping with production but also must be open to helping with other tasks such as cutting, packing orders, social media, photography, general administrative tasks etc. There may be opportunities to help with designing/pattern cutting/sourcing etc. in the future.
Must be able to work well under pressure, our turnaround times are quick and there is little room for error.
Works well in a collaborative manner!
The Role:
Based from our sunny studio in Battersea
Freelance position
Reporting to founder Hannah (please note that all our other employees work remotely).
----
HOURS: 8-12 hours per week (this may increase over time - we can also be flexible with when you work so you could do two afternoons/mornings a week, for example)
SALARY: London Living Wage (again, we hope to increase this over time!)
If this sounds like the right role for you, please email a CV and a Cover Letter alongside any supporting information/portfolio to hannah@salutolondon.com
